Farhad Ahmed Akand, chairman of Bangladesh Jute Association, the national organization of raw jute exporters, said that in the last financial year, about 1.5 thousand crores worth of jute was exported from Bangladesh.

If the government cooperates and removes the hurdles, he expects the export of jute to increase further in the next financial year.

The chairman of Bangladesh Jute Association (BJA) said these things at the 57th annual general meeting held at the organization’s own office auditorium in Narayanganj town on Saturday (November 30).
