Due to the escalating situation in the Red Sea, Swire Shipping is experiencing a significant impact on our ability to deliver cargoes from Asian hub ports to destinations in European, Red Sea, and some of the Indian Subcontinent ports.

Swire Shipping relies on strategic business partners to connect our expansive shipping network to areas not covered in our sphere of excellence. As a result of these unexpected and unpredictable disruptions securing capacity on this lane is currently coming at a significant cost increase.

In response, Swire Shipping has introduced an Emergency Export Surcharge (EXS) for this lane. Due to carriers’ limiting sailings in December, we will adjust the applicable Westbound EXS rates effective 16 December 2024, as detailed in the table below. The EXS will continue to be invoiced to the freight payer.

Now a days it appears that some agents help the broker to assist them , by helping  the joining and immigration formalities  using their own pad and sign in exchange of hush/neglected money, many cause of great danger when the Seaman fall in problem in abroad.

Hence, we on behalf of association beningly asked your honour to refrain from such kind of activities, may hamper the reputation of Agents, Association as well as for the country.
